An auditor is an individual who verifies the financial integrity of financial fiscal records. A professional who is responsible for evaluating a part of the project, business or individual is an auditor. An auditor needs to have a keen eye for the smallest details in order excel in the field. Auditing is the process of determining whether recorded information is proper to the business events that occurred during the accounting period.

They should be systematic, methodical and enjoy working with numbers and figures. An auditor must be prepared for a lot of paper work.
